The Dev team must still be working on the official blog concerning changes to the new tutorial system. However, PlayStation.Blog has the early scoop on this feature coming to 1.5 with three previously unreleased photos of the system in action. The new player tutorials appear very straight forward and the objective-driven approach to teaching new players is well thought out and logical. Good job CCP!

I saw the article yesterday. It seems funny it hasn't been release to the mainsite yet. The article was posted by CCP Greyscale and has all the makings of dev blog, just copied and pasted to PS.Blog. Even the "Feedback in the comments as usual!" exclaims in my mind hyperlink to Dust forums. |

Zelorian Dexter snr wrote:Can you also include a tutorial on how to turn voice comms on in corp chat because it's amazing how many new players carnt work it out.
Might want to wait to give feedback on an official Dev blog post. This topic is a catch of an early release Dev Blog. |

I guess somebody saw my post and CCP updated their twitter feed. However, once again it is on the PlayStation.Blog. It's the same material as my link above. Bear in mind that my link was directing to the European PlayStation blog.

CCP is there a backlog in site management in lieu of pushing forward the vehicle changes topic? |

HowDidThatTaste wrote:As in other games it would also be nice to be able to play a higher tier suit at the end of your tutorial to be able to feel what your hard work can accomplish. Giving you that itch to keep getting back in to raise you suits teir level. give them 20 proto suits that are pre fitted and let them feel great after leaving the academy. probably would have to offset the let down after with a nice video of what's to come when entering in the dominion.
Well, when the time comes that a player trading market is opened, those suits could provide objective based learning to reinforce the principles of marketplace supply and demand.
Objective: Here are 20 high tier dropsuits. Learn how to use them and sell them. |

BTW CCP, when we said communicate we didn't mean on a site that nobody reads. Well I saw that article on the PSN page as they linked to it on facebook which is more than adequate, how would you prefer they let you know? Would you prefer perhaps that they call you to your phone when they have something important to tell you? Delusions of grandeur = 90% of people playing dust and dust forum dwellers - It's all about me, all the time.. CCP make me a game, make it the best game ever, don't charge me anything or I'll stop playing, even though you made it free and just how i asked for it to be... don't you dare make money... WhyIoughtaa!!!
In response to Dimmu, it seems sensible to post information related to drawing in and enhancing new players experiences on websites other than the Dust 514 mainsight. It's a marketing and public relations push; simple as that. Something they should really continue to market to new players is the benefit of starting an account to begin accruing passive experience. |
